It can’t be easy to make a tree-trunk soled shoe look elegant, but somehow in this case YSL have succeeded. These delightful sandals from the label’s S/S 11 collection are so evocative of summer that we can see them being a huge hit once the season comes into its own.
Espadrilles were a strong style last year, and in 2011 we’ll be seeing the look pushed into all sorts of new and exciting forms. We love the use of the roping around the heel here, and the deep red platform is divine.
