Essie’s latest collection pack a neon punch
There is no avoiding neon this season, from the laser-cut leathers by Christopher Kane to the Swarovski crystals by Tom Binns, and our nails are no exception. Essie’s “Poppy Razzi” collection of four electric hues includes “Lights,” a hot pink, and “Camera” which trends as a red-pink. My view from the front row at Men’s Day at London Fashion Week. I was invited by the lovely people at Paul Mitchell who had put together a team of talented stylists to create hair looks for Christopher Shannon’s show.
I’m not quite a Fashion Week virgin, but I’m definitely a novice – which could explain why I ended up squeezing myself amongst the family members of the designer. Nestled next to Christopher’s lovely relatives, I had a great view of the fashion and of the hair, created using products from the new Mitch range.

The creative brains behind Howies and The Do Lectures have launched a new company, Hiut Denim, which aims to make quality jeans and provide jobs for the people of Cardigan. Jeans manufacturing is not new to this small Welsh town. According to their website, 400 people (of a 4,000 population) used to be employed by a factory making 35,000 pairs of jeans a week, for three decades.
