At Plywood People, excess is viewed as raw material, waiting to be transformed into a solution for global issues of need and suffering.

Gisele Nelson, the project manager at Plywood, said that the nonprofit has a two fold purpose. First, to provide relief to the poor, underprivileged and distressed. And, second, to support other organizations conducting charitable activities.

We started with a rough idea that we wanted to be able to address social needs through innovative ideas, Nelson said.

O’Neill have just released a video of highlights from their One Way Runway model competition in the island of Ibiza, Spain.

The comp saw 12 models competing for the chance to star in the O’Neill 2012 campaign as well as win a modelling contract with Next Model Management.

It saw each contestant walk down a custom catwalk on the cliffs of the Cala Bassa beach andjump off the end into the water, demostrating the resilience of the O’Neill Superkini to the underwater camera men below.
