Azealia Banks has captured the attention of Lady Gagas stylist Nicola Formichetti, performed for Karl Lagerfeld, and attended the Met Ball with Alexander Wang—all without releasing an album. Thats soon to be rectified—her first EP, 1991 (after her year of birth), drops digitally May 29 and includes four tracks: 1991, Van Vogue, the already popular 212 (its video has netted 15 million views), and Liquorice. While Banks seems to be channeling a little Grace Jones on 1991s cover, it was Formichetti she tapped to direct her upcoming Liquorice music video in London.
Banks is also ramping up to release her Fantastic mixtape this summer—she previewed the first track off of that, the Calypso-tinged Jumanji, last week (listen after the cut). And s

Red carpet makeup is a creature unto its own. Here is a gorgeous look that makeup guru Lisa Eldridge did on Kate Winslet for the recent world premiere of Titanic 3D in London. They decided to do a modern version of classic Hollywood glamour with a red lip.

Italian shoe designer Franco Sarto will make an appearance at the Nordstrom at Los Cerritos Mall on Sunday to show off his lines latest looks.
Sarto makes pretty, wearable shoes and he has some great shoes coming out for summer.
From feminine floral wedges:

to a cool leather sandal that would go great with boyfriend jeans and a tissue-thin T-shirt or a cute printed a-line skirt and a peasant cut blouse and hippy-chic woven straw bag

Or how about a pair of cheery red-and-white espadrilles with a pair of floral print shorts and a crisp white camp shirt?

Finally, I would pair these sweet, apple-green, buckle-toed ballet flats with a navy tank dress and a white blazer for a dressy casual Friday work look ..

Sarto will appear at Nordstrom Los Cerritos Center on April 1, from 1-3 p.m. Sarto will be available to answer questions as he sketches shoe designs for customers.
