Current/Elliott “The Stiletto” Low-Rise Cropped Skinny Jeans: This Leopard Can Change Its Spots

I wouldn’t go so far to say that my appreciation for good bright denim has waned, but my bold red pair isn’t looking so vivid anymore! And while I’m nowhere close to being ready to whip out my spotted furs, these leopard-print jeans by Current/Elliott are feeling just right at the moment. Now that we’ve officially seen denim in every pattern and shade imaginable, these won’t shock your senses or even challenge your wardrobe. Washed-out just enough to look more East Village than Jersey Shore, the close, cropped fit and sandy hue make these easy weekend pants to throw on with sandals and a T-shirt. Just go modest on the jewels and subminimal on the metallics. Actually, these would probably be too severe with autumn boots and a leather jacket, anyway. You just met your spotty new pair of cheeky summer jeans! On Net-a-Porter for $200. Pair with: A casual and minimalist sandal with a dash of punk. The “Tiffany” wedge by Jil Sander, with black suede, thick buckles, and a slender panel of cork, is the platform for the job. Any more shine and your judgment might look spottier than your jeans. At Barneys New York for $219 (from $550).
