I’ve had a voucher to spend on Vente-Privee for a while now, but have yet to see anything I really want….until now. Suddenly there’s a Steve Madden sale full of beautiful platform shoes and peep toes in a variety of colours. Too. Much. Choice.

I ending up going for these electric blue platform heels in the sale, reduced from £167 to £55. There seems to be plenty of sizes (and half sizes) left, so it’s worth visiting now.

Well, maybe not exactly. But if you haven’t noticed, the leather dress has snuck its way into our wardrobes and now it’s starting to seem like a staple. There is something so sharp-witted and directional about a woman in a leather sheath – with bare legs, a good heel, and minimal accessories, that is.

Jenni Kayne’s fetching chestnut take is a great transitional piece, to take you from summer’s cooler days into chillier weather, no problem.
